Area:  Fine Machine Sewing
6-hour combination notebook/project class
Level: Intermediate

Saturday class Brochure Description:
This darling handkerchief bonnet is a perfect project for learning tips for curves and corners with corded twin-needle pintucks, shadow work, and pin-stitched tatting.  First you will stitch notebook samples to determine your favorite stitches and settings for these techniques.  Then you will experiment with curving and cornering with each of them.
Finally, you will stitch the beautiful imported lawn handkerchief.  Several ways to turn it into a bonnet will be shown and you will get a poem to include if it is given to a baby or a bride.  (The handkerchief may also be made into a pillow top.)    A fun and charming project you can finish in class!
